I just made New Look 6231 out of some orchid lambskin leather. I am looking for a pretty closure to close the front of the jacket. It calls for a clasp to be sewn in, but I just think it needs something prettier (and easier) to do since this is leather. Does anyone have any suggestions?

A tie? Or one button on each side with a loop to go over each of them?

Vintage jewelry. One or two earrings, a bracelet, a brooch, vintage shoe clasps.

How about a hidden hook and eye to augment a string leather belt?

If the vintage jewelry idea is appealing you could also use the hidden hook and eye and then use magnetic pin(brooch) holders so you could convert to using just a belt.

You can make your own French knots and Chinese frogs which would be very intriguing in leather.

How to tie Chinese button knots.

Do a search for clasp buttons. Here's what it brings up on Etsy: Clasp buttons on Etsy

I actually have found some pretty ones at Joann, but they were plastic, not metal.

I think it depends on your style and fabric type. For a more dressy one a lovely decorative one would be nice,. For heavier fabric and toggle sort of closure could be fun. Tthere are also coat hook and eye closures and at Manhattan Sewing Supply I found jumbo hook closures.

I also found the following site with some interesting choices:

height 5'2" bust 36, waist 31, hip 39.
I have way too many yards to count, and I will never use them up, but I will die trying!
