...as between FFC and Vogue Fabrics

Does anyone have observations about the shipping speed of either Fashion Fabrics Club, or Vogue Fabrics, or both?

They have the same fabric (FFC is cheaper) which I need rather badly for a costume purpose. It's been a while since I ordered from FFC and the shipment was slow, but not outrageous.

I may decide to just scour the big fabric stores in Framingham and try to find something that will do, but that would be an enterprise fraught with danger.....

My experience with FFC is 10 days from order date to my door. It's always been very consistent for me, but other people say they deliver slow. It takes every fabric website I order from 10 days from order date to my door, so I don't think they are slow. They actually say 7-14 business days on their website, so it should come as no shock to anyone. I placed an order from them last Weds. I expect I will see it this Friday or Saturday. If you are accustomed to ordering from someplace in NY or PA and you get your order in 3 days, you will be disappointed.

I haven't ordered from Vogue Fabrics for awhile, but I am about the same distance from them as I am from FFC, so I'm guessing they would take about 10 days from order to my door.

I am not affiliated with any fabric websites. :)

May not have what you want, but Fabric.com has always been under a week for the Midwest.
Check Etsy sources also, as sellers have been very fast too.

I only ordered from FFC one time. It took 3 weeks to receive my order...and I'm not a patient person.

Like Frame it's about 10 days from FFC, and I live in the boonies of rural Tennessee.

Vogue takes 2-3 weeks usually for me.

On average, most companies take 10 to 12 days to get to me, including FM and Fabric.com because they seem to take forever to process my orders.

IIRC I gotten my FFC orders around 10 days too, maybe a little less. They take longer than Fabric.com but it's not bad at all IMO. Of course it helps that I've always been pleased with my orders, LOL. I've never ordered from Vogue because I live in Chicago.

Good luck getting your fabric, Sauvage :)

Thanks for the replies! I am thinking that finding some fabric not as ideal closer to home may be the way to go on this occasion.

Mind you, it won't keep me from ordering from either FFC or Vogue in the future--normally it's actually better if new fabric takes its time on its way to my stash....

It will also make a difference depending on how far from you either place is. If they ship UPS you can check out the service map page on the UPS website to see how many days it is in transit from their zip code to yours:

Oh, dear...That's too bad. The place I work uses a method that is UPS and USPS combined and that can be slow, but throw Fed Ex into the mix and I can only imagine how terrible the ship times must be. And the tracking for USPS is almost useless in my experience.
