I need some good scissors and from everything I read Kai scissors are highly recommended. I was just wondering if the ones sold onKai Scissors ever go on sale. I want to buy one of the gift sets. But, I hate to purchase something and then have it go on sale next month. Has anybody ever purchased them via this web site? And, were they on sale?

They usually have a booth at the large quilt shows and have good deals.

I have bought them on sale from the web site. Not sure how often they do that. I am sure I saw an alert about it here on PR.

I just did a search on the board for "Kai," and it looks like they go on sale every so often on Kai's website and also on Wawak.

I just bought my first pair of Kai scissors at the Puyallup sewing expo and am excited by how lightweight and smooth they seem, compared to my Ginghers. The Kai vendor at the expo did have a special deal for a set of three scissors (8", 4", and 5 1/2", I believe), but I'm sorry, I forget how much they were offering it for or if it was a better deal than the gift set Kai offers on its site.

The gift set at the Novi show was the same price as the website. The last sale I know of was in October, but I don't know whether that means they're due for a sale or not. I know it's not like Joann's where they're on sale pretty much on a monthly basis.

I bought the gift set at Novi, and I think it is well worth the price. I think they cut better than Gingher scissors, and they are much more comfortable to use -- since I have arthritis, comfort is very important when using scissors.

I think Kai has a sale, a couple of times during the year, or maybe that was through the ASG member specials. Seems like I got some at 20% off somewhere! a few years ago.

Wawak website sells a few types and their coupons might even be applied. They're always having sales & specials. It's worth checking out.

Kai gives a discount to ASG members. Can't remember how much it is but if you're a member you can look it up on the ASG website.

I would like to try Kai scissors. My Ginghers cut so well and are really sharp, but heavy and hurt my hand even with a short cutting session.
