Does anyone know of a website that ships the snap setter for a reasonable price internationally? As it is, I can only find them with shipping that is more than the item itself, and I can get a yard of fabric sent for less! Will be looking around $28 for the tool if I can't find a better shipping rate... Even in Australia would be great.

I ordered mine directly from the company here.
While the postage was slightly more than the actual Snap Setter, I ordered some of the adapters and a bunch of snaps all in one order to make it worth it.

Try goldstartool.com I ordered tools and rulers from them and their service was very good. I was pleased with my purchase and will order from them in the future -- a good resource.

Nancysnotions.com sells them and adds $15 US to the shipping to New Zealand. I don't know if that's a good deal or not. I don't think they have a large selection however.

I've ordered directly from the company myself. I am in the US but there is no place locally to purchase them.

I hope you find an affordable solution. I think these little snaps are terrific. They make you want to go around putting snaps on everything and I don't have anything to put snaps onto. NAYY (not affiliated yada yada) I wonder if people still remember that yada yada from Seinfeld. I wonder if people from New Zealand have ever heard of Seinfeld?

If you want a snap setter for plastic snaps, I would suggest Assunta store. I ordered press from them several years ago and it's one of my favorite tools. I originally bought it for making diapers and covers, now I use it for apparel, crafts and purses. Assunta
I just made these pillows and used my press for the closures snap pillows

I can't provide information about shipping internationally, but I can attest to the quality of the Snap Setter by Snap Source. I've had my tool since Jeanine Twigg started her business back in the '90's. I picked up the Size 14, 16 and 18 tools and various snap colors and sizes at an Expo or ASG Conference and have used it to add snaps (Sz. 14) to many a premie gown. Besides being a good product, it's a great way to relieve your frustrations.

I agree Judy, sewing with hammers is just what you need some days!

Snuzal - if you are wanting plastic snaps, I would recommend Green Beans (which I believe you've already found), but for metal snaps, I really do like the Snap Setter snaps - much easier to set and more colour variety than the packaged ones available in NZ retail. Also slightly longer prongs, so they stay put!
