Does anyone know if the French company République du Chiffon PDF patterns are able to printed on US LETTER sized paper? It's odd the info on paper format (A4 of Letter) isn't mentioned on the website. http://republiqueduchiffon.com/ I can only assume they are Letter compatible since other US seamstresses have sewn them up... but no one seems to reference this anywhere.
Thanks, guys!

The first page of the pattern should have a scale box on it Can you print just that page and see? I didn't see any info on that issue either.
Thanks for feeding my pattern addiction by the way!

I didn't buy a pattern yet, I've emailed her to ask if they are Letter paper friendly but just haven't received any response. I know there are some indie companies with PDF patterns that don't do letter sized paging (unfortunately!!) There is a convoluted way to print A4 onto letter, but I am not confident to do this.

Did you know there is a free pattern, the Robe Ludivine? Robe Ludovine download. Perhaps you could give the first page of that a try to see how the letter-sized printing works out?

They are sold at Kollabora which is US based so it seems like they would be US letter compatible.

There is a free skirt and top pattern as well, here, which I downloaded.

I don't see any scale indication or guide on any of those pages.

I did NOT realize that that dress was a freebie! I was eyeing it, too! I think I need to download this now!! Thanks :)

I don't read/speak french, and google translator is only ok.. also I am finding this website difficult to navigate... I'd blame my lack of knowledge of french but I've easily navigated non-english sewing websites without any issues. The organization of the site is a bit confusing.

You don't see any scaling or sizing guidelines? Hmmm... that's odd for a PDF pattern of any language. But I'm still going to give the skirt and dress a look and see what I can do hereThanks . But it would be super to know for sure ahead of time. These are pretty nifty patterns, it's worth a try.

I just downloaded the dress (Ludivine) and THERE IS a box on the 1st page of the pattern (page 8 of the PDF) for scaling. It's a square that should be 5cm in size. I will print this and see what happens. I can imagine it is Letter compatible considering it's on Koolabara and so many American seamstresses have made these patterns already. Thanks again :)

I want to know the results of the printing! I am lusting for veste julia. Supposedly they are working on an english version of the instructions for that pattern. It is a weird website.
