We just heard from Kwik Sew that these patterns will be discontinued very soon. I know how much some of these patterns are loved so I thought I'd let you know. We have almost all of them still in stock but in a few weeks we will have to discard them. Grab them while you can.

I'm not surprised that they're retiring so many...the line is in real need of a refresh!

Well, I wasn't going to buy any more patterns for awhile... But, the toddler patterns for overalls and the one with the itty bitty denim jacket are one of a kind sort of things that I'm sure Sofia and Lily are going to need... Then there was a dress I keep looking at without buying... However if it's about to be discontinued, that kinda sorta means a purchase. Oh well....

Do the discontinued Kwik Sew patterns have to be thrown away?

My word! What are they leaving? Will there be any K-S patterns left? Or is this the end of K-S? (Sob)

I recommend 3428. It's a nice casual jacket.

3337 is a particularly nice skirt and the jean jacket is nice too. Kwik Sew patterns always look better in real life then they do on the pattern envelope.

If you sew for kids, you may want to grab some pj patterns--it looks like most if not all are being discontinued. I have made at least 25 pj sets, nightgowns, and robes for my kids from Kwik sew patterns--its one thing you can definitely save money by sewing.

FYI...I checked the mccall.com website, and the next Kwik Seew catalog is scheduled to be released this month, so...there you go...either it's going to be much smaller, or we should get a whole bunch of new patterns.

Hmmm, interesting - I wonder which it will be (smaller or lots of new)?

There are some timeless classics in this batch being retired.
