Has anyone used those iron-on vinyl products? Like one of these:
Heat'n Bond Vinyl
Pellon Matte Vinyl Fuse
Pellon Vinyl Fuse

I'd like to use an iron-on vinyl on a fun fabric to make a purse or wallet, to make it a little stronger and also keep the fabric from staining.

Any experiences? Opinions? Does it work on flannel?

Thanks!

I'm not sure it would work with flannel. My worry would be that it would bond to the napped fibers and then peel right off. :/

Here's a link to a tutorial on sew4home about using iron-on vinyl. Not sure if it will answer your questions but might give you some leads

I've used the pellon vinyl fuse to make the outer shell on a cash envelope unit. It worked out okay, but I wish I had used a heavier interfacing on the other side, as the whole unit is sort of floppy. So just don't count on it to help with stiffness very much. The vinyl itself has not come up at all, though I used it on a quilting cotton. I think I would have the same concerns as Chemical regarding the fibers of flannel and the vinyl pulling up off of it.

Used the matte vinyl for an adult bib for my dad-worked well on denim.
