Besides the Vogue monthly fabric swatch program, is there any other ones out there? I like to be able to see and feel the fabric before I buy it.

FabricMart Fabrics has a swatch club (I do not subscribe).

Though I have heard complaints that by the time you decide to order something...it may be sold out.

Wow, you must be new here. This actually gets asked quite often.
Click on the search boards box on the top right and put in "swatch clubs" and choose topics to search in, then next time choose messages. You will get different results of each search, but plenty of information to help you find the answer to your question. :)

I get the swatches from Sawyerbrook Fabrics. They are located in Clinton Massachusetts. They carry nice quality material, Buttons, linings, shoulder pads & interfacings for garment sewing. They will match linings, thread, etc for you when you order a fabric if you want them to.

I use Fabric Mart, and I like it. I paid $50.00 to join, but they give a $25.00 coupon to use during the year. So it is really $25.00 to join. I have been pleased with the fabrics I have ordered. Yes, they sometimes do sell out of fabric, but stores do too. They tell you how many yards of fabric is left to buy. I use this because I live two hours away from any fabric store, if you are close to stores, I don't think I would bother.

i LOVE Sawyer Brook. Get many of my fabrics there. Order matching metrosene and buttons and I'm ready to sew when the package arrives. Great quality fabrics.

This year was my first year for a swatch club. I have been getting swatches from Fabric Mart. I'd like to try someone else this year. My FM swatches are about 2" square. Vogue says 2"X3". Sawyer Brook says theirs are "generously sized." Anyone know how big that is?

I second Sawyer Brook.

I've been to their B&M store. Fabrics are lovely quality and shipping is pretty responsive. It's been a year or two since I had a swatch subscription. I'm using that as my reward for getting a few no sewing things done that are absolute must-dos. If I get my work done, I will reward myself with temptation!
