I downloaded the free Plantain Tee pattern. I only printed it out to the 4th page to check if it was printing the test square properly. I followed the instructions to print at "Actual size". It printed out 1/16" less on the vertical side and 1/16" less on the horizontal side. Any suggestions as what I need to do to get the pattern to print out properly.

Thanks,
Adele

Maybe you should work in metric as the pattern's from France. Does the square measure 5 cm?

Thank you KathleenS.

You are right. When I measure in centimeter's it is perfect. Now I can print the rest of the pattern.

Thanks again.

I hate when patterns do the test square as 4"x4" or 10 cm. They're not the same. It's completely confusing.

Agreed!! 1" = 2.54 cm. not 2.5... So 10cm is NOT 4"!

I'm glad you mentioned this. I just printed the test square for a downloadable Burda pattern. It is supposed to measure 10 cm or 4". It measures 3 3/4 inches or 9.6 cm.
This means that I will stand to lose 3" in circumference on this top!!!! It's not as simple as cutting the larger size because I'm already on the largest size.
I've printed out PDF's before and never encountered this!
