The Susan Khalje linen article inspired me to look for more on silk. Check the next post to see what I found.

Why don't you just add to the fabric glossary already here on the website? It's right over there on the left sidebar under the Sewing Reviews category.

Edited. The fabric glossary here has been ongoing for a long time and there are many types of silk listed and the listings contain care, use, how to sew, etc. They do not read as reviews to me.

I just would hate for you to spend the time duplicating effort that is already here on the message boards, but it's your time so obviously do whatever you want.

T is for Textiles

This one is from Fabric Link and is a bit different as it is focused more on the terms of fabric function.
Textile Dictionary

Since the Textile Dictionary, above, goes into the category of technical fabrics, adding this from Eades Discount Wallpaper,
Outdoor Fabric Sewing Comparison Chart

Retailer Rockywoods has helpful information on sewing technical fabrics. Especially like the needle guide.

P is for Pathetically off topic but still a-P-P-ealing.

This list from the Phrontistery is very basic but contains descriptions of fabric names that I have come across when reading and I have been curious about.

Lena! What a pleasant surprise.

After posting the link to Ms. Khalje's article I was inspired to find more information on silk. What I found was Ms. Khalje's compliment on your famous gelatin solution. This, in turn, led me to your Sewing with Silk articles.

Thank you so much for posting.
