I don't know if other's have noticed, but Mood.com has been having a new fabric on sale almost daily. I haven't seen it advertised anywhere in an email or online so I thought I'd share here...if you go to the website you'll see it rotating through their banner. Today's (March 25th) sale is for a nice Japanese plaid cotton shirting.

Japanese Plaid Shirting on Sale

Anyway, check it out! So far none of the fabrics have enticed me to place an order....but you never know, I'm liking this plaid shirting

I didn't know til I read your post-- so thanks for posting, Carrie! And I agree the plaid shirting is very nice. Bet it's good quality since it's from Japan.

Thanks for letting us know about this. I've never ordered from Mood, but I'm always ready for a bargain on quality fabric.

I hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere either. A bold silk chiffon is today's choice.

Not sure we should be thanking you for this information, though...

Hi,
Through past experience I have always ordered samples of any fabrics that I am considering ordering online from Mood because on my computer the colors of the fabrics are very different than the real life colors of the fabrics. I don't have this problem with other sites I use such as Gorgeous Fabrics, Farmhouse Fabrics, Emma One Sock or Fabrics.com. Your experience may be different, of course.

I think the lighting they use for photography on Mood's website can cause colors to look off.

I also take cues from their "goes with" suggestions that they sometimes have; I purchased an aqua chiffon from Mood recently that had a background which looked white to me in the image (the image didn't look aqua at all anywhere). The recommended thread and lining fabric was a light seafoam green, which turned out to be exactly the color of the background.

Me too Changma. They must be charging us a higher price since they know we're fabric addicts
