My first FabricMart order arrived today and I am THRILLED with the quality. Here they are after a trip thru the washer and dryer:

from left to right:

Pink China silk which is more of a lavender-pink. Ultra light weight of course.

Marc Jacobs circle eyelet in a lovely smalt blue color. It's not stiff at all, and I'll be able to use this for a doll dress. Didn't wrinkle much either.

Apricot slubbed cotton. Very heavy weight and probably too stiff to make a doll coat with but I love the color. It was only $1.99 a yard so I'm not bummed. Maybe I can make a cat mat with it.

Pique linen.. this was described as apricot IIRC but it's more of a flesh (uncanny valley!) or a peach with mauve overtones... it's more antique than baby but I think it will make a cute doll coat. I can't line it with the China silk like I had planned tho-- way clash-y and not in a good way LOL.

And last but not least, the mint green linen. Has a nice heft, feels sturdy without being too thick and the color is gorgeous and clean.

Can't wait to start playing with these fabrics!

Lovely! I also got my fabricmart haul today. Don't have everything laundered yet, but I got some of that linen pique, but in a lavender, and can't wait to see how it sews up!

Oh no, you've started down another slippery slope, but I am glad for the company.

I also have some of the same blue eyelet (bought it last year though and it is in my stash now!), it really is nice and the rest look so pretty - spring like. (Will it ever come?)

Have fun sewing!

I do think FM should be paying me...

Gorgeous haul! It's probably time for me to go pet my stash :-)

Love the mint green linen and the blue eyelet -- as I've said many, many times .... I'm so glad that shipping to Canada is a good deterrent.

Look forward to seeing what you create with these "lovelies".

Nice haul! Pretty spring colors.

I just ordered this, which I think might end up as a jean jacket.

I also ordered this which I've had my eye on for weeks waiting to see if it would go on sale, and voila!

I was waiting for something too at Marcy's site, but it came and went. OK for me, b/c I am sure I can make do without it.
