This came up at some point...I immediately went out and bought the 6261 dress! (It's really nice too!)

I *think* it was mingled in with the thread re: the Simplicity release.

All 4 of those dresses are really nice, and on trend, and maybe even something I'd wear (lol).

Too bad I have at least 3 dress patterns (maybe closer to 8 if you count the free downloads I've printed out!) I want to make that I haven't even started on! And one (S1621) that is waiting patiently for me to add bias to the armholes and hem.

I find the Simplicity web site so difficult and slow that I don't even bother to look at the patterns online.

I KNOW! I usually browse Simplicity, New Look and Burda here on PR.

New look almost always has some patterns I like, but I avoid them because they don't offer any plus size patterns.

I really like the pull on knit skirts in New Look Project Runway pattern 6269. Just because they look like all the cotton/lycra striped knit "Max Studio" ones I have been seeing in the department stores. so I was going to make a few cheap, rather than buy expensive instead.

But I like that pattern so much, I think I might have already bought the same skirt pattern pieces for the same skirts in Simplicty pattern 1616, instead last week maybe.

It is kind of hard to tell though, as I can't even get the Simplicty web site to show me the back of the pattern line drawings on any of those new New Look patterns up there now. I'm pretty sure, I used to be able to do that and actually see those there on the web site, and the yardage requirements on the New Look ones too, but maybe they have now deleted that function there?

Am I the only one who can't get the thumbnails to open? I had this issue with Simplicity last week. Just nothing. I've tried on a different browser, same thing.

6267 caught my eye, even though I have this pattern (raglan sleeve peasant top) in at least two other versions! And I like the 6273 wardrober, too. I have a lovely lightweight wool paisley in my stash and this Acacia/Signals cardi in my inspiration file, just waiting to be married by the right pattern!

I've never tried New Look before. What's the overall opinion of them? (I guess I always thought they were a "bargain" version of Simplicity?) I know at least one PR member has mentioned that they seem to fit her best of all the pattern lines....
