I plan on making Simplicity 2153 as a spring jacket and planned to leave it unlined. But I decided I NEED polka-dot bias tape. I went to buy fabric for it but wasn't sure how much I needed. My phone wasn't working in the store so I just bought a yard. There was 5/8 of a yard left as a remnant...I took it.

When I got to my car I was finally able to pull up a site that converted fabric yardage to yards of bias tape.

Uhmm. I think I may have enough'

Maybe you should use the yard for a top, lol. And get some other color polka dots to make contrasting binding!

If you use it all for bias tape, according to The Dread Pirate Rodgers, even for 2" bias tape, you have well over 200 inches!

1.5 yards makes 763" of 1" bias tape - that's just over 21 yards.

Good idea ;)

I have no use for 20+ yards of bias tape! Lol!!! I might make done of it into piping since I'm now fascinated with the stuff.

If I'm making lots of bias tape, I make a bag first, and skip all the fiddly bits other instructions have. A clear set of instructions are here.
