Are bias skirts complimentary to the full-figured woman? Or would they be subject to too much stress and stretch unbecomingly? Any advice?

Will this class show how to cut and sew a lining for this skirt?

Hi MaryF
I am so sorry that I did not see your question sooner. I have friends with full figures who have made this skirt. If you make it from a knit it's really easy to fit, and it's very flattering. Loosely woven fabrics work well on the bias as well. Jen

Hi deblack,
Thanks for checking in. This class covers everything bias... From laying out and cutting a few different types of fabrics (Including lining) to matching stripes and finishing the hems. I show two different ways to finish the waistline... using a lining and creating a facing for the waistband. Please let me know if this was helpful. Thanks so much, Jen

Would using a walking foot be a good idea for the seams on this skirt?

Hi again, Yes a walking foot can help because it feeds the top layer of fabric at the same rate of speed that the feed dogs are pulling the bottom layer of fabric. I sew on a Pfaff with built-in dual feed (which is a built-in walking foot).
