Wawak has a few irons on sale today only. I just received my Hot Steam Gravity Feed iron and was pleasantly surprised to find the electrical cord was twice as long as my previous Sussman (that lasted 20 years...still works but the cord is too frayed for safe use). I returned the Pacific because, brand new out of the box, it kept spitting out brown water/steam. The Hot Steam iron comes with a a built in filter within the hanging water bottle and a filter within the water tubing line. Included with the $89 Hot Steam is an iron shoe (usually you have to purchase separately to prevent iron shine), an iron rest and the resin needed for the water bottle. The Hot Steam electrical cord was also twice as long as the returned Pacific.
Wawak's customer service was EXCELLENT.
Oopps, the sale actually expires on the 11th..so today and tomorrow.

I highly recommend this iron. I've had mine for six months, use it daily, and really really cannot imagine sewing without it! (NAYY)

I am also very pleased with this iron. I have had mine for about 3 weeks. I ordered mine from Wawak and it came with an iron rest, a shoe that fits on the iron, as well as the tubing and bottle. It says in the instruction to hang the bottle 3 ft above the iron for it to work well. This limits where you can put the iron in attic workspaces. The instructions also suggest using low mineral content water. (Distilled or otherwise purified water.) The iron weighs about 5 pounds. I like that it is heavier but this might be a problem for some folks.

I also ordered a iron stand from Wawak as well. My old iron finally died after getting knocked to the floor one to many times. I have the stand near my ironing board at the same height as my board. So far no tumbles.

Ditto on loving that iron. At first I was leery about setting it face down on the pad but I'm used to it now. I do use distilled water in it all the time.

Ack...I just ordered one! I have had more trouble finding an iron that I love after my EuroPro Gravity feed iron and vacuum board died a few years ago. I've gone through a Reliable and the Olisio (2 of them). This is a great price!

You are all such enablers! I have been wanting a good iron for years, and have gone through so many lousy ones! I just ordered this one. I hope it works with an IV pole, because that is what I will have to use as I have a suspended ceiling in my sewing room (basement).

Denise - I use it with an IV pole in my sewing room. Hope you like it as much as I do!
