I really like the look of This swing halter top. But it's so hard to evaluate a new pattern company. What do we think?

I've been meaning to try some of her patterns. Her style is very similar to what I sew/wear. Plus Waffle is my dog's name. Seems like it was meant to be. She has positive reviews on her etsy shop. Not exactly the detailed pattern review we're use to but a good sign.

I will say I only sewed her free newsboy cap pattern but did look at some of her other ones.

She's super nice and was EXTREMELY helpful when I had questions.

I think I am going to give her bomber jacket a try.

That bomber jacket is on my list too. I also like the coat with the oversized hood and the dress with pleats and cap sleeves.

I like it. It might be my May "pattern splurge". I don't buy too many Indie's...and I am not quite in love with the Burda mag bombers that I have in my hot little hands.

I'd never heard of Waffle patterns so thanks for the introduction.

I'm loving the sleeves on the Brownie dress and the bomber jacket...ooo lots of cute details I haven't seen before in patterns!

But the prices! I realize that it is an indy company, probably with no backers, but I don't want to spend $18 for a digital pattern.

I hear you! The price is definitely one of the reasons I am not a big Indie fan. So many basics with a high price tag (or an aesthetic that I don't possess). I really like her bomber though!

Butttt I finally see a free Style Arc that I want so my pattern dollars for the month are probably spent.

And I just saw a review of the Burda bomber. I like it. Will be trying that one first!

Yes!!! I knew if I held out the May SA freebie would be great. (Not that there was anything wrong with the April patterns.) The Sharon Sweat Top is my idea of great run around wear. And I know the fit will be fantastic.

Meleliza, thanks for the thread on the Waffles - nice designs.
