People, I'm tired and I need the schoolyear to end asap!

Anyway, I was really inspired by three of the dresses that Kate Middleton, DoC wore on her tour of Australia: the LK Bennett border print floral sheath dress, the DVF ikat print wrap dress and, my FAVOURITE by far, the white Zimmermann eyelet+entre-deux dress.

The DVF looks like NL6674 that I own, yay!

TBH, this is the first time I've loved sooo many of the things she's worn. She's usually very elegant but, IMO, more on the boring side of things. Job hasard, I guess!

I know a lot of people are fans of the yellow RI dress but I'm not feeling it. Well, not to wear myself, at least.

Does anyone have pattern suggestions? Or their own knock-off plans based on her wardrobe from that tour?

I would love to dress like her too. Whether it is causal or royal engagements, she always looks so polished and elegant. Something that one doesn't see often now. I don't have any suggestions right now. I will keep a look out for patterns similar to those for you.

What's interesting about the LK Bennett dress is how the border print is used. The May issue of Threads, I think, had an article about different approaches to placement for border prints. This one was missed, but is certainly worth thinking about.

I love the placement of the border when it is used this way. I really, really love the color combo of the white and blue.

Here's a link for the last dress with some zoom options. I'm not sure on patterns, but it looks like a basic enough shape that you would be able to find a pattern for it.
