I just wanted to post something to anyone else out there that may own a Juki MO-1000 serger. I bought mine mid-February and have now been through two pedals. This morning it chewed through a wrap dress that I was making since I lunged to switch the machine off as it chewed through pins since I could not stop it with the pedal.
Today I received verification from Juki that "there is a spring on some of the original pedals that was not working properly", and the issue has since been resolved. I had it occur with two pedals so my guess it's not just with "some" pedals but their wording, not mine. If anyone else notices that their machine fails to stop or starts doing so, I would recommend contacting Juki support. It is not worth someone else ruining their garment due to this problem. I have been extremely frustrated but understand these type of problems will happen with new models. Otherwise I love my machine, but it's been crazy with this pedal nonsense.

Ooooo, so sorry! Thanks for sharing this info, I'm considering the MO-1000, if I can't conquer my MO-735.

Good to know - I bought an Enlighten and am happy it doesn't have that issue. Juki should get that figured out PRONTO!
