I'm moving from NoCal to SoCal and trying to decide how to pack Cricket my Bernina 730e. I got out her HUGE original box, but I can't remember how things go in the box. I think I need to attach the embroidery module to the sm, but I'm not sure so if anyone can assist I'd appreciate it. I'm also thinking of using her wheeled travel bag. If she goes in the bag she'll be on the floor of the back seat. She's done this before. If she's in the box she'll be secured and covered in the back of the truck. Palace is already in her box, but it somehow seems more secure than Cricket's box. Renee already lives down south and she can't wait to be reunited with her sisters. Any thoughts or opinions would be much appreciated.

I moved mine in the original box. Mine is a 200 updated to a 730; wonder if the boxes are the same? My embroidery module went separately as I recall. Don't know if this helps!

I don't think it's a good idea to move or lift any machine with the embroidery module attached. I'd just use the rolling tote... I love how it has that velcro flap to keep the machine secure... I definitely wouldn't want it on a moving truck or in a trailer either.... If it bounces too much or something falls on it, these things are so expensive to repair...

My machines listed in the order I got them:

Vintage metal Brother straight stitcher (Gretta)
Brother PC-420 (Benny)
Bernina Artista 200 (Miss Priss)
Vintage hand crank Singer 128 clone with LaVincendora decals (Vinny)

No ideas on moving. Sorry. But I love that you've named her Cricket. She does make cricket like noises.
Mine is Twin. My sewing buddy bought her 730e Nina at the same time.

LOL, Kathleen.... mine doesn't make cricket noises... the first thing I did was turn the speaker system off! But that would seem an appropriate name....

The first day I had mine, I hit something and it mooed like a cow.... sounded like a regular zoo in there! Maybe I should call her Bessy!

Please do not pack and move the machine with the embroidery module attached. It needs to be packed separately.
