Hi all,

That Polly top is intriguing--a friend wants to make a camisole and it could be nice for that purpose. I downloaded the pdf and maybe I missed something but . . . I saw a reference to A4 paper. How does it print on letter sized paper? Do any changes need to be made?

Thanks, anyone!

Thanks, Patti Ann! That's perfect. I really appreciate it. We have a Staples nearby so I think I might just see if they can print it for me. Tho' for what Staples sometimes charges to do things . . . maybe I'll just buy a ream of A4.

The Polly printout (if I remember correctly) is drawn so that it will print on either size paper. It's meant for A4, but if you tell Acrobat to print it 100% on Letter, you won't be missing anything. It just has bigger margins than most PDF patterns.

That's great to know! I wish all the Euro freebies would do the same. I'll give it a try then. Thanks!

Just checked my PDF of Polly. The pattern (the parts that need to be matched up when assembled) is in a box on each page, with a very substantial margin.

Just be sure that you choose "Actual Size" or 100% when you print (not "Fit"), and the A4 images will print on letter paper just fine.

I know I've seen other free PDF patterns that do this (with margins that were not quite so extreme), but they may have been craft/bag patterns not garments.

Thanks very much for checking, Donna! I appreciate your going to that extra trouble for me. Now I know I won't have any trouble.
