I was just emailed a link to BE Kid, a fashion magazine for children's fashion and thought some members might like to peruse it. I know I got way too many ideas from the issue! It also has a Facebook presence.
It doesn't load incredibly quickly...

Thanks for posting the link. I love the 20's and 60's style dress. Something like that would look great on DD!

Anyone made girls leggings from a fave pattern or tracing their RTW pants? Do you use a small zigzag seam all over?
Those and tops are the most worn in our winters and easily fit
several-sizes of sisters. I'm waiting to try free toddler Yoga pants patterns online also, no elastic waist to fit.

I have traced RTW (usually I like Jalie for activewear or KS).

My go to machine is the serger for leggings for children and adults. Never had to use the small zigzag and fingers crossed no seams popping for the little ones.

I'm watching Betsey Johnson on Dancing with the Stars and thinking BETSEY WHY are you not still designing children's patterns? I loved her designs. I don't usually make anything TOO fussy for kids but sometimes you'd like some real style. How about Tilton sisters merged with Betsey?
I had 2 daughters and a lot of foster daughters. When I had a grandson I really noticed the dirth of boys patterns. Burda seems to have better style for boys. I do like the new Simplicity boys/ men's shirt pattern with the 2 different style pockets. However I'm not sure I want to do a cuff with placket etc for a 6 year old.

fabric purchased in 2012 ... a lot! sewed maybe 25 -40 yards, donated 6 boxes of fabric to a charity going to Mexico each year. Got great deals on fabric at the textile center sale last April but am teaching sewing to refugees again. It will be used.

My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.
