Simplicity 1757: Instructions are driving me bonkers!
Instructions are written partially in English and mostly in French and Spanish.

Im very new to sewing and I am still very much a beginner, and I am struggling with Simplicity #1757, it is a Learn to Sew pattern and Im not able to learn a thing! Im working on view A, and the first page is in English and the rest of the instructions are in French. I tried Google translator and babelfish and its just not translating into English so that I can understand it. Has anyone else had this happen and is this common with Simplicity patterns? THANKS!

Patterns often come with instructions in several languages so you may have the complete instructions in English but if not contact Simplicity and I'm sure they will send you complete instructions. Good Luck.

Thank you! Yes all my other commercial patterns are in all English and then all Spanish/French. But this is the first one I've come across that had the instructions start in French, then go to English then French again! So I got through steps 1 through 11, and the rest are French (18 steps in all). I'll call in the morning, hope they can help.

sounds like a big mistake on their part. Never heard of that before. Hope it gets resolved quickly.

Yes, let us know how you make out, if you have a chance. Curious!

I contacted Simplicitys help line I also emailed since they were not picking up. Fast responses so that was nice!
They emailed me an English instructions version. Yesterday I bought a second pattern to make one for myself (the first project was for my friend), and the instructions were in English and the regular section with Spanish. I should check all my unused envelopes for English instructions!
