Terri, when your membership is up for renewal, PR will automatically notify you by email. You can then use PayPal or other means to renew. Have you not received your renewal notice yet?
Edited to add that I see that your renewal is in February. So you should have received notice. Deepika is away for the weekend, but she will be back on Monday. If you send her a message She will be able to set it up for you to renew. FWIW, your profile still shows you as a FoPR, so maybe you renewed already.

I, too, am having all kinds of trouble renewing my membership. PayPal has twice emailed me to tell me that the transaction has failed and I'm not sure why because I've never had trouble with PayPal before. I then tried entering a credit card, but when I checked later, that had failed too. I just used that card a few days ago and it was fine. Then I received an email telling me that they were sorry I was canceling my subscription and wanted to know the reason. I AM TRYING TO RENEW BUT I'M RUNNING OUT OF PATIENCE. What's up with PatternReview.com? You make this so difficult. I've never had this kind of trouble trying fo renew a subscription. Please help!!!

Have you emailed the help desk? There's a "contact us" button at the bottom of every page with links to the appropriate department. You'll get a quicker response than posting on the boards.

This FAQ may shed some light on your PayPal situation:
They cancel your subscriptions whenever you make a change to your account. So the subscription message from PR is in response to the cancellation from PayPal.
