| | What sergelady likes about this machine
I have used this serger on pretty much every piece of material, mainly for finishing edges and it handles it very well. I make dog fleece blankets for a non-profit organization for dog and cats. I serge all the edges and turn them inside out and sew on the sewing machine for support. I also serge the edges of material before I put it in the washing machine so the material does not shred. The serger also does two thread flatlock too. It also does a two thread rolled hem that is just beautiful. It also does a three thread rolled hem too. All you have to do put a knife down and change the settings for a rolled hem, so easy. This was the lowest price serger that Elna was selling at the time, but it does more than what the new lowest serger sells for right now. It comes with a cover for one of the loopers when you do two thread. I have never had any problems with it at all. It takes regular sewing machines needles. You can use the sharp or ballpoint needles for knits. When I make clothes with knits, I mainly use my serger. I can even blind hem my clothes especially with knits on the serger. I have three presser feet for the serger and I have used all of them at one time or another. I have been complimented when I give gifts away at Christmas using my serger. My friends says it looks so professional when I serge the edges or do other things with the serger. I would not know what to do without it. I absolutely love it. Of course, this serger is not being made anymore by Elna, but i am thrilled about it.
The dog and cat blankets are made with fleece and cotton material and it handles them beautifully with no problems. What sergelady does not like about this machine
There is really nothing that bothers me. It even stays put when you serge on it; it does not move. You canot get some ofthe presser feet that is sold for high up models, but that does not bother me. | *LOGIN to add a comment to this review
