| | What eileen fitzgerald likes about this machine I absolutely love this machine. I do not understand why Euro-pro has the bad rep. It is a very quiet and smooth machine. I am a beginner and this machine has taught me to be a wonderful sewer. I have made couch pillows and curtains that have turned out beautiful and I have only been using a sewing machine for a month. I can sew in the wee hours of the morning if i cannot sleep because it is so quiet. The amount of feet that came with my machine is wonderful, not many machines include all of the feet. The stitching itself is beautiful, even the fancy stitches are flawless. The automatic needle threader works perfectly, even from the first try. I love the auto lock feature that automatically locks the stitches. The lower thread pops up the very first time. It sews thick layers without a hitch. I also have a mechanical 32 stitch euro-pro that I got on sale at Canadian tire for only $49.00 and that is an awesome machine as well. That machine has been passed on to my daughter and she loves it. She has made curtains for her room and some clothes for her dog. Both machines are built tough with all metal parts. I got the 9130C on Ebay for only $99.00 and the sellar is awesome and has every type of computerized and mechanical Euro-pro available with unbeatable prices. She has 80 stitch function machines with hard case and quilting tables for only $60.00 or $70.00. They are all brand new and offer full warranty of 20 to 25 years. Her customer service is also wonderful. She is in the sewing machine section under mlc-inc and is located in Canada. Her shipping charges are only $30.00 to $35.00 per machine with discounts on extras. I would reccomend mlc-inc and Euro-pro to anyone. What eileen fitzgerald does not like about this machine The only thing I did not like is the fact that there is no hard cover included with this machine. Just a vinyl cover. Most Euro-pro's have hard cases and covers included. I bought my universal hard case for $32.00 at Walmart. | *LOGIN to add a comment to this review *Only registered members can post comments to the reviews. | Reader Comments | | bestgrammy | 4/10/08 | Thank you for your review...especially since you mentioned its quietness, the nice stitches, and the ability to sew through thicknesses. Remember to update when you've had the sm longer! | | * * * | | mufffet | 4/10/08 | I did a review for the Euro-Pro I gave my son - a nice solid workhorse of a mechanical. Have fun with your machine and I hope it gives you years of service. | | * * * | | Celeste | 4/10/08 | Don't lament too much on not having a hard case--if you have your machine out you will use it more and the more you sew the more you will have it out and not put away! I have a hard case for one of my machines and it is always in the way. My machine is never in the case, I just throw an old shirt over it to keep dust off between uses (but I use it every day). | | * * * | | eileen fitzgerald | 4/10/08 | Yes, thats so true. I never put mine in the case in the past week because I have been using it so much. I go to my friends houses quite a bit to work on projects so the universal case comes in handy for the car rides. I noticed a lot of people ask about the bobbins and where to get them. I get the plastic drop in ones at Walmart. They are only $2 or $3 dollars and there is 12 bobbins in the case. They work great. | | * * * | | GrammaD | 4/11/08 | I have been researching sm looking for a new copmuterized one. Wondered how a Euro pro would measure up next to Kenmore or Brother and it sounds like it will and the price is much better than Babylock! Thanks | | * * * | | panda107 | 4/23/08 | Thank you for your comments. This will help me make a decision.
