| | What fabeins likes about this machine Good beginner machine with 80 built-in stitches, fair price, came with a good variety of feet and a quilting table, decent manual
This was a decent machine for me to learn on, but not a polished, smooth one; functional and not expensive What fabeins does not like about this machine Loud, created "birds nests" way too often with bobbin issues, never did get the hang of the auto threader or the button hole function, thread skipped out of its channel fairly often and would get jammed in the cracks and crevices of the machine which is annoying and time consuming | *LOGIN to add a comment to this review *Only registered members can post comments to the reviews. | Reader Comments | | johnr55 | 4/20/08 | As with some of my machines, this is a generic brand-engineered machine. Some are good, some are not. I'm not certain why it's named Euro Pro at all; I'm pretty sure it's not made in Europe, and certainly not professional! I wish you better luck on your next machine-- | | * * * | | JudiBee2 | 4/20/08 | One thing that is good to do is to take a machine in prior to the end of the one year parts and labor termination to have it checked. That way, these little problems can be checked. The auto threader may not work, to begin with. On the low end machines, mine don't seem to to work. The machine may like certain kinds of thread and certain kinds of needles like the expensive models. It is possible that a tuneup may help. The bobbin may have not thread smoothly or the timing may be off. Sometimes, the machines don't like old thread thast is fuzzy. Hence, it may pay to get a tuneup if they are cheap enough in your neighborhood. I have two lowend machines, and one of them is very nice. I really love it. The other one jams up when doing free motion quilting It is not a Europro of which I am not familiar. Why I use a cheap machine when I have a high end embroidery/sewing combo is just to beat it up rather than overuse and abuse that expensive machine which is so heavy to take to the shop. My cheap machine even does a nicer buttonhole than the expensive one, and if necessary I can make a manual buttonhole with a zigzag stitch if I feel like just going at it. I hope you have better luck with your next machine. If you do get rid of this one, save all the feet as they may be interchangeable with your next machine. Save all the little notions as well. | | * * * |
