| bestgrammy | 5/4/08 | Is the fabric dropping inside at the beginning of a seam? If so, try a 2"x 4" piece of paper under the seam to get started... even a coffee filter will work. |

| Rambleaway | 5/5/08 | Does this machine have a blind hem foot (or option)? I'm looking to upgrade my husband's 1970s Singer with bits missing - the machine not the husband - and just sew casually these days. The two most important features I need are a free arm and a blind hem option. Overall, the Kenmore 19233 sounds pretty good. |

| Rambleaway | 5/6/08 | Gor blimey! It does have a blind hem foot. I think we’re going out to Sears this weekend to have a shufty at it. Himself wants to buy me a new sewing machine for Mothers Day.
Thanks for the info. I’m very glad I found this site; there’s so much useful and helpful info here.

| EveS | 5/7/08 | I think the issue of "eaten" fabric is a job hazard of working with thin fabrics, especially stretchy (knit) ones. Bestgrammy's tip is a good one...tissue paper works well, too. Anything that will act as a stabilizer will be helpful. I love my Kenmore...I hope you have a long, happy relationship with yours! :) |
