| | What FlyGuy2 likes about this machine This is a Iron work horse. It does a Straight and zigzag stitch only. But it does the stitches are very nice. I haven't gotten to use it too much yet as I just got it. It is easy to thread once you get use to it , remember this is a 1954 machine so I had to forget all about my Ellegante and its auto thread. I also had to get use to a side bobbin that is metal. I am planning on using this machine for free motion quilting as it is very heavy duty. It came in a cabinet with all its feet which are about 5. I also have the original owners manual and the original Pfaff oil can. which I was total was a real deal. What FlyGuy2 does not like about this machine So far its in mint condition so there isn't anything I don't like, I am going to try and get use to taking care of a older machine so I am going to call on you guys that own vintage machines for help.

| Reader Comments | | Mufffet | 8/4/08 | Sounds like you got yourself a goodie there! Have fun! | | * * * | | Yarndiva | 8/4/08 | Congratulations on your Pfaff. I have the 131 which is the strait stitch only version. Once you get used to them, they are as wonderful as driving a vintage car. | | * * * | | catsmeow | 8/4/08 | I have heard that this is a wonderful machine, and highly prized by collectors. You got an excellent deal! | | * * * | | Celeste | 8/5/08 | Go to www.needlebar.org as this entire site is dedicated to vintage machines. I have learned so much from that website and you will get alot of help there. Very nice machine. I used to wonder what in the heck people could be talking about when they'd say these older machines outshine the new plastic-y ones but now I know. They work their little fannies off with just a little oiling now and then!! | | * * * | | JeanK | 8/5/08 | You've got one of the best machines ever made. Not only can you free-motion quilt, you could sew boat-sail canvas. Really. Sailing folk in So. Cal. use 130's for sail repair a lot. If you sew dog collars of leather or nylon belting, the 130 will make easy work of it. I own one, too - love it and will never give it up. | | * * * | | bestgrammy | 8/6/08 | Mint condition for only $100...Wow! | | * * * | | Ndorfpins | 8/7/08 | OK - just when I think there aren't any other machines I "need" I find a new "old" one that I will now be obsessing over. Sigh... to many machines, too many projects, too many fabrics, sooo little time :) | | * * * |
