| dbsewer | 6/27/09 | I had one of the earlier incarnations of this machine and sold it to my regret. These are not fancy machines with a lot of bells and whistles, but they are sturdy workhorses. You are right about the IDT. I miss it and all the ease of these machines. Enjoy yours. It will only grow on you as you own it longer and use it. |

| Betakin | 6/27/09 | I have a Pfaff 1530 also and would love to know how you got your machine at such a terrific price. I bought my machine several years ago from my Pfaff dealer and I paid over $600 PLUS gave a nice trade in machine.
My 1530 is my only mechanical machine and I agree that it has more than enough basic functions and stitches especially for a mechanical machine, plus having many needle postitions that most mechanical don't offer. I loved the stitch pkg on this machine compared to the other models in this group and liked the dials over the push buttons offered on other models and was the reason I selected this model. I also agree that the IDT (Integrated Dual Feed) is wonderful and I am so glad to have this machine knowing it sews even the most difficult fabrics. I am really astounded at the low price you paid for your 1530. |

| Mufffet | 6/27/09 | Is that really what you paid? Sounds like a great machine. IDT is that second foot on the Pfaff that was originally called a "matchmaker foot" to refer to matching plaids and patterns. That foot keeps the under fabric from moving at a different rate from the top and is a most dainty incarnation of a "walking foot" mechanism. |

| Beth Pierce | 6/29/09 | What's an IDT function? Would you have a picture of the machine, or a link to a website? |
