What lurl likes about this machine
Not much. It is not user friendly. One has to go from a card reader to a dongle attachment and try to retrieve the pattern info from the computer.
No way is the program for running this machiine friendly and I am used to computers and sewing machines.
I will be going back to either Pfaff or Bernina

downs 7/3/09I don't have this machine but I have the Elegante Babylock and I like it alot. It is user friendly. You should have gone back to the dealer to see if he could do something for you. Hope your next machine works better for you.

sewrose 7/7/09I own this machine, too. I think the next generation of Ellure avoids the card reader bumble lurl is talking about. I agree with downs, I would talk about your dissatisfaction with this machine with the dealer and see what they say. I hope they are interested in making you happy and getting you into something that's fun and nice to use. The thing about it, it's mostly an embroidery machine and I'm a garment sewer. The part that houses the mechanism for the needle is a bit too far away from the front edge of the machine for the Ellure to be a great option for garment sewers like me. Even my dealer says that these Asian-made machines are fine, but they don't make you think, Oh, wow, someday I'm going to pass this onto my grandchildren.

StephanieW 7/7/09I would like to have read more detail on what is not user friendly...is it threading, bobbin, tranferring your designs, the touch screen? Did you buy this from a local store? Most stores offer free lessons or other tutorials. I personally own a Bernina (2 embroidery machines by Bernina) and highly recommend them. Buy from a local authorized dealer and you get free classes on how to program, use, everything. Good luck.

newlywedws 8/27/09I'm sorry you dislike your machine. Did you read any reviews for the machine, or buy it w/o reviewing first?
