What Marsha8 likes about this machine
I like everything about this machine. Am making Bali bags, these bags are made by stitching through 4 layers of fabric around cotton clothesline. This Juki sews through it "like butter". This is the reason I bought a Juki. Looked at many other machines. Purchased this machine from a very helpful and reliable on-line dealer, Sew-Vac-Direct.
The housing on this machine is beautiful!

What Marsha8 does not like about this machine

Mufffet 9/7/09Marsha, how much did you pay? What are this machines functions and features in more detail, and please let us know anything else that comes to mind especially after another month or so!

Lil Flo 9/7/09Marsha, I have been looking at this machine. Can you tell me more about its features and functions?

Joanne77 9/7/09I'm glad to hear you love your new machine but, more and more now reviews are not reviews at all but simply statements about whether the reviewer loves or does not love their machine. After you have used this machine for a couple of months, please come back and update your review with specifics that will be helpful to others who are shopping for a new machine. Thank you.

poplin 9/7/09I'm really glad that SVD now carries the Juki HZL F300 sewing machine. I bought my Juki serger from them, and I don't mind buying another Juki from them.

I'm very curious though, since the features listed for the F300 sold in the States appear to be VERY different from the features listed for the F300 sold in Japan.

Does it really have 16 types of buttonholes? And can you resize the width? If so, which buttonhole styles can the width be adjusted?

How do you like the thread cutter? Does it work every time you use it? After you use the thread cutter, does it make a small thread nest on the underside of the fabric when you begin to sew?

Thank you for your time.

jilly cooper 9/8/09I am very interested in hearing about this machine, any chance of more details please, I don't really sew with lots of layers but I am keen to know about performance with light fabrics:)

Lil Flo 9/8/09Sewandvacdirect.com has alot of photos of this machine. It is a beauty.

Lil Flo 9/8/09Marsha8, is the red arrow pointing up the stop and start button?
* * *
Mufffet 9/8/09Machine doesn't seem to have a FIX button - and I looked at all three models online...maybe I missed something.

Lil Flo 9/8/09Muffet, I called Ken's sew and vac and they told me the F600 as an automatic lockstitch button. He wasn't sure about the F400, but said the F300 didn't have one.
