| | What rivka likes about this machine I purchased both the Brother PE 150 and the Bernette 600 on ebay, thinking that I would keep the one I liked best. Turned out that they were basically identical. This machine constantly had the timing go out on it, so that it was in the shop more than it should have been. I kept both of the machines, using one while the other was out of comission. It would be humming along and suddenly make a horrid noise and jam up. Therefore, my project was ruined and I couldn't finish the pattern. Sometimes, the timing would go out within the shop warranty period, so I didn't have to pay again to have it re-timed. Even the repair shop was getting sick of it constantly coming back for the same issue.
Eventually, I had both machines adjusted, sold them on EBAY, and purchased a Brother 2500D. What rivka does not like about this machine The designs were nice, but the repair issues overshadowed any good things. | *LOGIN to add a comment to this review *Only registered members can post comments to the reviews. | Reader Comments | | AnneMarie60 | 11/6/09 | "any good things"--like what? | | * * * | | dbsewer | 11/7/09 | Doesn't seem like much of a review, just a list of grievances over repair issues. | | * * * | | Teeavilnor | 11/7/09 | Maybe you could do a review on the Brother 2500D instead. | | * * * | | Sewing Demon | 11/7/09 | Is this a cautionary tale: What to expect when buying a sewing machine on Ebay? You purchased 2 lemons and sold 2 lemons on Ebay? Yikes! | | * * * | | johnr55 | 11/7/09 | There is nothing about the machine here, except that you bought someone else's problems and passed them on to someone else. | | * * * | | sew2006 | 11/8/09 | I don't think that this is a fair representation of the machines you purchased just a buyer beware of buying used machines. You have no idea how much sewing the prior seller did, how many people have owned the machine or even if the machine was dropped/damaged during shipping due to poor packing. I know lots of people who have these and embroider on them 8 hours a day easily. Not threading the machine properly will also cause all kinds of issues. | | * * * | | sewgirl101 | 11/9/09 | You sold them on ebay? I feel sorry for those who bought your machines, that's just not right. This is why I would never buy a machine from ebay. | | * * * |
