What mpbh likes about this machine
The needle threader is fabulous--works every time. I love the channel for the end of the bobbin thread. I never have to guess where to position thet tail. As soon as I sew, the upper thread grabs the bobbin thread. I used most of the utility stitches and all worked smoothly. I made one test buttonhole; simple to do and it looked fine. I am overjoyed with the thread cutter which can be used manually or can be programmed to cut threads at the end of each seam. It is possible to program the sewing speed button to change stitch width for decorative purposes. I know I can save my personal settings for the utility stitches but I have not done that yet. The lighting is good and the onscreen help is good once you remember what all the icons mean.
I am new to machine embroidery but my first attempt went smoothly. I did not adjust or rotate or enlarge but I wanted a watering can with flowers and that is what I got. The biggest design Sofia will do is 4 X 4 and that is plenty big enough for me. There are 70 designs built in and a USB cable for more. Sofia will also take an embroidery card. What mpbh does not like about this machine
The extra feet and tools are loose in a little plastic bag and there is no hard cover. No complaints about use or features. |
