What Northern WI likes about this machine
The control of the machine speed is a sliding switch on the front of the machine. It is easy to change speed, and if I want to sew very slowly the machine will do that (I use the foot feed). Bobbin is easy to refill (suppose this is true of almost all new machines). I do home sewing (clothing, repairs, curtains, etc) and the choice of stitches covers everything I need. Bought from a dealer (store) and am glad I did. Had problems with the first machine, took it back and dealer gave me a new one. This one works great, except for one problem listed in the "don't likes".
What Northern WI does not like about this machine
The automatic threader is wonderful when it works. It quit working on my first machine, and now has quit working on the second. I am careful to lower the presser foot and have the needle at the highest position when threading but still have problems. Dealer has offered to fix it and I will bring it over to the store but it's a long drive. Until then, hand threading is not a big problem. REALLY glad I purchased from a dealer where I can take the machine in for repairs. |

Thanks for a nice review. Sure hope you can get the threader fixed. I have the NX-450Q model and the threader works great.

Hello, i am looking to buy the Innovis 80 as well and wanted to check if you purchased it at a special promo offer. The dealer i asked has it at a lot higher, at $649.
