What Cassandra999 likes about this machine I love my machine! Very smooth sewing, very easy to use! It has 25 stitches, 1 step buttonhole (which is rare on a mechanical machine) I'm just getting back into sewing after learing in elementary school and only using my mom's machine occasionally since then. I didn't want to confuse myself with jumping into a computerized machine that was over my head. This machine is close enough in operation to my mom's old Singer that I could catch right back on immediatly. I was drawn to this machine after seeing a demonstration where the salesman sewed straight off 12 layers of denim on to a sheer with out skipping a stitch. I looked around and read many many machine reviews and came back to this model. I love it so far! With in a week of recieving the machine for Christmas from my parents, I had already learned how to use each stitch (with the help of the very good machine manual) and had learned blind hem, and hemmed 12 pairs of pants! The Limited Edition package came with many feet, including a walking foot that I haven't tried yet. What Cassandra999 does not like about this machine Nothing yet! Only wish there was a little more space in the drawer underneath |

I have the Janome Sewist 509 which is similar to yours but less stitches. I've had it for 7years of trouble free sewing! Even after getting a Janome computerized machine, I kept my trusty 509. Here's to many happy sewing moments for you and your machine.
