Discuss Sewing Machines with PR members Sewing Machine Forum | | What Peace36love likes about this machine I just recently purchased this machine at the Sew and Quilt Expo. It is a straight stitch machine. You can adjust the length but not the width of the stitches. I love the stitch quality of this machine right out the box. The light unit is right above the needle. It has needle up/down and automatic thread cutter button and a reverse lever. If you want , you can also cut the threads with the heel of your foot on the foot controller. The feed dog drop is very accessible on the front of the machine. It does not have a free arm which was not important to me because I bought in to do FMQ only and maybe piecing. At first, I really wanted to have one machine for Deco sewing and FMQ but I think the straight stitch machine is the best for FMQ, I can really see the quality of my sewing improve. In my quest to buy my perfect sewing machine I have tried all brands, and I bought a Pfaff QE4 for that purpose, but I could not bond with that machine. I like the fact the you can manually lift the pressure foot with a lever behind the needle, or you can use the knee lifter.
It comes with the following accessories:
1. Foot Controller
2. Extension Table
3. Screwdriver
4. Cleaning brush
5. Exclusive screwdriver
6. Oiler
7. Spool Cap
8. 4 needles (HAx1)
9. Sewing Machine Cover
10. knee lifter
11. power cord
12. Upper feed preeser foot
13. 1/5 Quilting foot
14. Compensating foot
Everything you need to get started without having to buy extras.
I think they call it a Mid-Arm Machine and it can be placed on a Grace Quilting frame with a Grace speed regulator if you like. To me the Juki is the best especially for the price. What Peace36love does not like about this machine I love it so far, I just wish it had another light in the middle of the throat space and a speed regulator. The Juki TL2010 has a speed regulator but it is also $200.00 more. | *LOGIN to add a comment to this review *Only registered members can post comments to the reviews. I have the TL2010Q and it is wonderful for piecing. I'm used to using a BSR for FMQing and haven't tried the Juki for that yet, but intend to very soon.

I love my regular sewing machine, but from time to time I think of getting a straight stitch machine for fmq, so I was really happy to read this review.
