|What em300 likes about this machine|
There is sheer excitement when you finally get to purchase what you think is a true treasure. I could barely wait for the UPS guy to get to my home. I guess you could say I was bursting at the SEAMS:). So now I'm opening up the box, still excited.
I threaded it, plugged it in and away we go. My Brother Cover Stitch machine drives like a dream. I changed the threads (relativity easy enough) and now ití's time to continue on. Dream over, it started to catch the fleece, knotting the thread under the needle plate and for over a couple of hours it continue to drive me crazy. I remove the needles, rethreaded and even oiled it. Nothing seemed to work. So I walked away from it very disappointed. But I'm no quitter, so I go at it again. How about it is sewing like a dream again. Hmm, maybe user error or just an initiation? Whatever the cause, I am now one with my Cover Stitch. I've learned a lot and now I am very comfortable to say the least.
What em300 does not like about this machine
I don't like when finishing a seam, to release the threads it seems very difficult. Or perhaps I haven't mastered the machine like I thought. I saw on a video where you can pull the tension release when done sewing and the threads are supposed to ease out. Not for me just yet. Hopefully I'll get it soon (it won't be for the lack of trying).
