What CaliQuilter does not like about this machine
Loud sewing noise.
Continuous problems with low-bobbin sensor.
I love this machine but I've had continuous problems with the low-bobbin sensor going off when the bobbin is still half-full. When that sensor goes off, the machine will quit sewing. What the owner's manual (or the Baby Lock website) does not tell you is that opening the bobbin door is suppose to disengage the sensor and allow you to continue sewing. This was not happening on my machine. My dealer tried to fix this and couldn't, wound up giving me a brand new machine, and then had to completely replace the sensor on the new machine. This is definitely a flaw in the manufacturing/design of this machine and it (as well as other issues I've not had, but others have experienced) is probably why Baby Lock has now discontinued this model.
