|What flora scotica likes about this machine|
This is my first foray into machine embroidery and it has been fairly stress-free and enjoyable! I love that it 'does-what-it says-on-the-tin'. I followed the instructions in the guide booklet and the machine worked very efficiently.
I love the fact that you don't need to be attached to a PC: you can use a pen drive to transfer designs. The best bit for me is that I discovered that the machine accepts designs dowloaded onto my MacBookAir. I rebooted the pen on the Janome 350e and took it to my MacBook and loaded up....and it worked (thanks to some wonderful advice in sewing forum uk)!
I have not done anything very difficult yet, but it had made me a nice tissue holder (drawing lines on fabric and lining it all up); a in-the-hoop coaster and a spot of FSL (a wee bookmark for myself). I have yet to master embroidery on towels, but I hope to try this soon.
What flora scotica does not like about this machine
I am not so fond of the plastic cover for the machine. I does not have a wee gap so that you can carry the machine with the cover still on, but that is a minor complaint. I also don't like the rubbishy wee spare parts drawer, but I have removed the spare parts and it is all contained in a box with threads, scissors and so on, so that is also a minor complaint.
