|What DrWatson likes about this machine|
I just bought this machine at Costco, and so far am delighted with it. The first best thing is the operation manual and DVD, which are very easy to understand. It came with 8 feet, three needles, a double needle, and a 90/14 needle, foot controller, seam ripper, cleaning brush, screwdriver, spool caps (3), extra spool pin, 4 bobbins, one of them filled. (Three of these are marked optional accessories, but came with the package.) It has a start/stop button, which I like rather than using a foot controller. Also, it isn't too heavy, which is good for bad backs like mine.
I spent several hours getting to know it, using various feet, testing stitches, button holes. It is quiet, operates smoothly, and doesn't rumble or shake. I haven't sewn in years, never became expert, so it may have more features than I checked.
If my old machine had been this nice, it wouldn't have sat in the closet for 20+ years. I will update this after using it for awhile.
What DrWatson does not like about this machine
I wish it came with a carrying case or there was a specific one made for it to purchase, but I found one online which should arrive soon and should fit.
