This is my first review on patternreview.com. This serger has beautiful stitches and it is easy to thread and convert to a roll hem. Converting this machine to coverhem function takes a little time to learn. I love that this serger, has heavy duty knife and an extra high presser foot lift for heavy fabrics. All the presser feet are all metal (like Bernina). I can see why people may want a seperate coverstitch and serger when doing garment construction. I do not have the room for two machines so I plan on how to do the project and try to combine steps. This serger is Identical to Bernina 1300DC serger, I purchased the Bernina"s serger seam guide and the multipurpose foot( larger piping foot)and they fit this machine.
As other people have written the manual is not good. I got around this by the following:
watching your tube video on the Bernina 1300MDC serger ( JUKI makes this for Bernina) downloading from Bernina the serger techniques.
downloading for sewingmachineplus.com the following:
JukiMO734DE & JukiMO735 features and machine setup - found in MO734DE serger page
JukiMO735 Threading and Stitch training - found in MO735 serger page
These two downloads are dealer training manuals and provide tension settings and machine setup for different stitches.
