7500 PERFECT stitches a MINUTE.
It does the loopy part, and then a good 2 thread stitch beside it (Yeah, I've been sewing a long time, but I'm still terrible at the terminology.
IT IS EXTREMELY DURABLE.
It has a secret thread cutter I only found a short while ago after years of owning it (silly me).
It has a BIG table, and two pedals; one to lift the presser foot, the other to sew.
You can buy most of the pieces you need for it on ebay!!
No matter what I do, no matter how bad the thread jam gets, It's always 100 percent OKAY after it's been rethreaded. Lasts YEARS of terrible abuse. :)
It is industrial, so a lot of these are literally from sweatshops around the world.
It sews clothing just like a lot of the clothing YOU own looks.
It weighs about 300+ lbs.
It does take a lot of space.
I'm sure it could sever fingers and you have to be VERY careful to not press the wrong pedal with your foot. Very. Careful.
You need more than one person with muscles and a truck to transport it.
Mine smells a little funny when it works (But that's JUST MY MACHINE).
It is not sold in retail serger stores as it's from the 80's.
THREADING IT IS NOT EASY. Seriously.
And you USUALLY won't get a manual with it.
They are very hard to find, and the better shape they're in, the more you will pay (But, if it's good, it is worth it all!!!)
Even though theres a significant list of pros and cons here, I LOVE my juki. I'm quite the huge advocate.
And yes. YES, it will absolutely handle sweater upcycles. ;)
