Everything!! This machine powers through everything I've ever put it through. I sewed a padded laptop bag with canvas and 1/2" foam, she sailed right through it without a fuss, no odd stitches, needles breaking or whining motor. I've only had thread break once in her (the left needle) and after retreading, she want sewing too nice, so I was told if that ever happens, to cut all of the thread and rethread the whole machine. Not tie on, to do it the long way :) the diagram is super helpful and really it only takes less than 5 mins. To do.
I like how the threads all have diagrams near the top where you thread, so you know what that particular thread is doing. Example: I was serving awtjing I usually don't and one of the threads was loops, I just looked at the diagram by where I thread, near the top, saw which thread was wonky and adjusted that tension. Super easy!
I chose this bernina serger because I have a bernina sewing machine, which I love so when looking for a serger, it was obvious which brand I would go to.
The manual is super easy to follow and has a diagram of the different stitches and how to adjust for each one.
I mainly use my serger to make purse straps an to finish seams for clothing I make for my daughter. It did come with the blind stitch foot and elasticator, both of which I have never used.
I love the rolled hem feature, by a switch of a button and adjusting of tension, and also removing left needle (you have to remove the needle or you will have big thread loops...) you are ready to go! I took a class with my used serger and my rolled hem was more beautiful than the new machine's :)
My Machine came with the 2 extra feet warranty, scrap catcher, manual, and cover. Also the tools.
I bought this used from a local bernina dealership.
The machine runs with the foot pedal up. I guess I'm used to my sewing machine in that my sewing machine won't run with the foot up, but my serger does and I couldn't figure out why I had wonky seams... Glad it was an easy fix!
