Oh my god!! This machine is amazing!! Ok I have had this machine for only 24 hours!! I have spent 10 on it lol. So here is my story. I am a quilter and have only been quilting for a year. My first machine was/ is a Husqvarna Opal 650. I love that machine but when I bought it I really did not know what features I needed, like thread cutter.

Well yesterday I went to see my longarmer to get a quilt done. When I walked in the first thing I saw was a machine she had just picked up for $200.00 from her Babylock dealer. I was in shock at the price and asked if he had anymore. Now my longarmer has had a relationship with this dealer for years and years and because I was her friend he extended me a offer I could not refuse. We went to see the Serenade that he was going to sell me for $400 but then he said I do have this Symphony that is top of the line, it may have been used ten hours at most.

There was a lady who came in to sell him 8 Babylock's that belonged to her mom who was moving into assisted living , she sold them to the deal for a great price, and because Of the relationship with my longarmer we benefited , I say we because my best friend got the Serenade for $400, also used once or twice, like new.

I came home broke the news to my DH that I just spent $700 on a new machine when my other is perfectly fine lol.

The minute I took it out of the box and set it up I was in love. I was so worried it would take forever to learn. Well it is idiot proof! It tells me everything I need to know right on the screen. The bobbin threader is super fast. This whole machine is so quite it's almost like it's not on. I love the cutter and the pivot foot. There are more stitches then I'll ever use. I have to tell you for someone who sometimes has a hard time understanding things this came so easy. I feel so blessed to have been given this machine for $700. My girlfriend and I are both beyond excited. The dealer also offered us free classes and threw in a walking foot, or maybe is came with it not sure :)

I will write more after I have used it longer, but so far it's amazing. I am working on a quilt top and last night I switched to my Symphony and chained pieced about two hundred blocks super fast. I have never had such a perfect 1/4 seam. I kept measuring it because I could not believe how perfect it was. Threading this machine with the auto thread made me laugh it was so easy. I am like a kid in a candy shop! It is big and heavy and I love how solid it feels. The table is huge. Today I am going to try the free motion quilting foot and see how well it works. I will write another review after I have played more on my Symphony!

Troubleshooting:
I do wish you did not have to unplug the cord use the start/ stop button!

Congrats on getting such a wonderful machine at an AMAZING price!!! I had a symphony and loved just like you right out of the box. I still have a soft spot for it but traded it for a crescendo. I think you will be very very happy!!!

Thanks so much! I did some free motion quilting today and was again amazed at the ease of it! I love my Opal and will still use it and also share when I have friends come over. I will say free motion quilting was a bit hard on my Opal then the Symphony. I'll keep updating as I learn more. I am very surprised there are not more you tube videos on this machine.

Wow I paid 2 1/2 times that for my espire (the predecessor), but I loved my espire when I had her and that was the way I felt when I first sewed on here. I may have my dreamy(unity on the babylock side) now, I still have very fond memories of my espire and trust me it is a workhorse, never gave my any problems the years I had her.

Welcome to PR and congrats on your new machine! Your enthusiasm is contagious - lol. I paid $900 for my newest Brother (same manufacturer as Babylock) and it is loaded with features and feet. I know what you mean about how quiet it is. Love that! Many happy years of sewing on your Symphony machine!

Congrats. Always fun to get a new companion that you click with. I have the Ellisimo Gold II and love it for the same reasons.
