Tell us about your first impression when you used this machine. It was so easy to use right from the start. A lot quieter than my old machine! Then I went through the manual page by page and was impressed with all it's features and stitches.

Was the machine manual sufficient? Absolutely. I went through it in great detail, trying everything out.

Did you buy any accessories? My machine came with a "quilting kit". There was a handy extension table and a walking foot and a few more attachments to make quilting easy. Do you use them? I am not a quilter but I have used the quilting accessories and would again. It made quilting so easy. I love making quilted placemats and plan on making a quilted sewing machine and serger cover. Although this machine came with a hard plastic cover already.

Is this your primary machine? Yes, along with my serger.

Did you take any classes specifically for this machine? I was going to, but the location wasn't convenient for me.

Was this a gift/pre-owned/garage sale etc? I bought this sewing machine from a family owned sewing machine retailer. I bought it for myself after extensive research.

How often do you use it? Oh my, at least four times a week, if not more!

Would you recommend this machine to others? Absolutely.

Have you had any trouble with this machine? Please elaborate. None.

Do you do regular maintenance on this machine? How? I haven't done anything yet. Maybe I should? It's still running perfectly. I just give it a clean up and oiling every now and then.

Thanks for this review! Enjoyed reading it. Yes, your cleaning the bobbin area is good, but go light on that oiling - all the oil this needs is an occasional (every 6 months to a year to more) drop of oil on the wick under the bobbin area. This is a very nice machine! Have fun!

I've had this machine for several years and I love it. For sewing a scant 1/4 inch seam, I use the basic foot and just move the needle over to the 5.5 position. The straight stitch is still great and the fabric feeds well and evenly. After using the thread cutter I make sure to use a starter scrap so I don't get a little tangle on the bottom. I've had the machine serviced regularly and have never had any problems with it. Yes, it's a little fiddly to change feet but the quality of the stitch and ease of use make up for it.
