Announcing New McCall's Patterns!

McCall's latest looks have just come out, and there are a lot of easy knit looks, like these patterns.

McCall's 6353 Misses and Women's Dress

Sizes 6-14, 18W-24W

This wrap-around dress is so versatile! The pullover dress has a close-fitting bodice and flared skirt with a band with elastic casing at upper edge. The raw edges and the wrong side of the fabric will show. Wearing instructions are included.

Suggested Fabrics: For two-way stretch knits only: jersey, dancewear knits.

McCall's 6360 Misses and Women's Leggings in Four Lengths
Sizes 6-14, 18W-24W

Designer Angela Wolf talked about this fashion trend in a recent article. With this pattern you can join in! The close fitting, pull-on leggings have tapered legs and a waistline elastic casing. The upper edge of leggings fall 1" below waist. View D has elastic at the side seams. View E has a side zipper. View F has a side panel.

Suggested Fabrics: For two-way stretch knits only: cotton spandex.

McCall's 6356 Misses Tops


Why not sew this top to go with your leggings? There are four options: no-sleeve, short-sleeved, off-the-shoulder and strapped. Views A, B, C and D are close-fitting through the bustline, fitted at the waistline. Views A and B have elasticized sides. View B has a lined sleeve. Views C and D are lined with elastic at the lower edge.

Suggested Fabrics: For two-way stretch knits only: jersey.

I look forward to the day when the big companies put all the sizes in one envelope. I do hope that missing out size 16 altogether is a typo. Because its certainly pretty dopey. There would be a lot of women who are 12-14 on top and 16-18 on bottom. You can guarantee they wont choose any of the patterns with a Sizes 6-14, 18W-24W split.
