7th Day of Giving Thanks with cequimbyBy AlexisW on 12/4/13 12:55 PM

Congratulations to cequimby for winning the 7th Day of the 12 Days of Giving Thanks on PatternReview!

cequimby says:

"I would like to thank Doris W. in TN for a message she contributed to the boards a while back. Her carefree, "get 'er done" attitude encouraged me to stop procrastinating on my project and just go ahead and make a bemberg rayon underlining. I'd never done this before, but following her simple technique worked beautifully. When I have limited time to sew, advice like Doris's gives me that kick in the pants I need to quit fretting and just try it already!"

cequimby has won a $75 Gift Certificate from our sponsor, Sewaholic Patterns!

cequimby has also won a free Friends of PR Membership!

We would like to give a huge thank you to all our sponsors participating.

Want to say thanks to someone special on PR? There's still 5 more days of prizes left!

Please tell us in the comment section of the original blog post about a PR Member who has helped you recently. Whether about giving advice on a particular pattern or encouraging you to sew, we’d love to hear how a PR Member has helped you!

Congratulations cequimby! The pool of information on the message boards is amazing. Now, I will have to hunt down Doris W.'s underlining technique.

Thank you to ArtAttack for the inspiration she has given me in making all those beautiful Grainline Studio's Archer shirts. Each one is unique and gorgeous. But the one that I liked best was her dress. I have been sewing for 62 years and never, ever thought of extending a blouse to make a shirtdress. See, you can teach an old dog new tricks!!!
