Celebrating Indie Patterns - February - MariaDenmark By Deepika on 2/4/14 1:01 PM

This month we are celebrating our very own, lovely MariaDenmark and her awesome Digital patterns. Maria also drafted PatternReview's first Digital Pattern, The Summer Steet Dress.

We are having so much fun seeing your creations every month using indie patterns, let us continue the indie love by sewing atleast one project using MariaDenmark pattern. And when you sew it up, simply write a review, upload a picture to your review and copy and paste a link to your review in various places for a chance to win some fabulous prizes from Maria.

Check out our exclusive interview with designer Maria Fabæch Moesby

How to celebrate with us?

1. In the month of February sew a project using any of the MariaDenmark Patterns.

2. Write a new review on PatternReview with atleast one photo.

3. Copy and paste a link to that review on

a) Comment section of this post

b) MariaDenmark's Facebook page

c) PatternReview's Facebook Page

d) Tweet @patternreview @mariadenmark

Contest ends Feb 28th Midnight EST

1. Why 4 places?

Because it increases your odds of winning!

2. Can I sew more than one project?
Yes of course. You'll just need to write a new review for each project, even if you use the same pattern. Again, this increases your chances of winning.

3. Can anyone participate?
Yes! Forward this to all your friends. As long as they join PatternReview (free membership will suffice) they qualify

4. What are the prizes?
At the end of the month we will randomly pick 2 winners who will each get a choice of any 2 MariaDenmark PDF patterns and surprize fabric from Maria to make a project using one of her patterns.

5. How will the winner be decided?

By random drawing.

Only question is, which pattern to sew first!

May we suggest.

I love the Day-to-Night Drape top. I have made it twice sleeveless and I added sleeves to the third one. The pattern worked on the first try. A definite go to pattern.

Here is the link to my review of the Yasmin Yoke skirt. This is my third MariaDenmark pattern, I'm really enjoying them.

Very easy top, yet it looks sophisticated but the neck is also fairly modest so a great addition to any wardrobe especially if you use the sleeves from the Birgitte tee as advised by MariaDenmark

This dress is so easy to wear, I've made 2 and I can envisage more, maybe a plain? Economical with fabric and well drafted.

This is such an easy pattern and so stylish, I'm sure I'll make it in lots of different fabrics and they'll all look good. A great pattern.

This is my second version of the day to night top but cut on the bias. Hope that's ok. I think it worked a treat!

Here's the 2nd version using woven fabric and cut on the bias.

I love your patterns. Here's two I've just made. I've reviews 3 others but they won't count for the February competition.

I made the Lotta Lady Bag last week in preparation for a trip to see my new grandson. I posted the review yesterday before I saw this contest.
