XandraReynolds ( Alexandra Reynolds ) Category: wool

This is a black wool flannel ensemble, the jacket of which is trimmed in rayon faux fur at the collar, peplum and cut-away wrists. The skirt hem is finished with silk double-bias. Both pieces are lined in silk. I created the jacket from circa 1931 McCall #6690 pattern and I cut the trumpet skirt from circa 1933 Simplicity #1771 evening gown pattern. This ensemble is very dynamic and all about movement. It is best on the figure (this ensemble fits 34" bust, 28" waist and 37" low hip), but some of the drape in the skirt may be seen in the back view photo as the breeze blew. The skirt hem actually oscillates as the wearer strides along!

Cheers!
